UCM Track & Field Excels at UCM Invitational Friday

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Mules & Jennies track & field had numerous strong performances at the annual UCM Invitational Friday, Jan. 19, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.

Pole Vault
  • The Mules went 1-2-3 in the men's pole vault. Reagan Ulrich cleared a NCAA-II provisional 5.20m (17-00.75) on his first attempt to take first while freshman Charlie Garino cleared the same height as Ulrich on his second attempt for second. Fellow freshman Pierson Carlisle was third for UCM, clearing 4.75m (15-7.00).
  • The Jennies' Molly Greene finished runner-up in the women's pole vault, clearing a mark of 3.50m (11-5.75). Former Jenny All-American Madi Wulfekotter won the evening, clearing a UCM Multipurpose Building record 4.20m (13-9.25).
Jumps
  • The Jennies went 1-2 in the women's long jump. Simone Green won the event with a mark of 5.55m (18-2.50) while Maggie Klover placed second at 5.52m (18-1.50).
  • Therese Reindl and Kayla Goodwin tied for third in the women's high jump, clearing 1.56m (5-1.25).
  • Carter Bell and Zach Proctor tied for first in the men's high jump. Bell and Proctor both cleared a height of 1.98m (6-6.00). Bell's height was a personal-best.
Throws
  • Rachael Molloy won the women's weight throw with a provisional mark of 17.88m (58-8.00) while Jamalynn Atkinson was second with a mark of 14.66m (48-1.25).
  • Addison Snowball finished third in the men's weight throw with a mark of 17.80m (58-4.75).
Sprints/Hurdles
  • Kayla Goodwin ran 9.01 to win the women's 60m hurdles. Jazmin Corbin finished third with a time of 9.88.
  • The Mules went 1-2 in the men's 60m hurdles as Parker Wormek ran a provisional 8.13 to win the event while Jentry Acklin was second with a provisional 8.14.
  • Brooklynn Holtman ran a personal-best 7.83 to win the 60m women's dash. Lenetta Lee finished third with a time of 7.96.
  • Ariel Kerr won the men's 60m dash with a personal-best tying time of 6.82. That time ties for sixth-fastest in school history and is a NCAA-II provisional time. Brett Gelina finished second at 6.98.
  • Emily Meeks captured the women's 400m dash with an indoor personal-best time of 1:00.78.
  • Isaak Rasche led the Mules in the men's 400m dash, finishing third with a time of 51.68.
  • The Mules finished 2-3 in the men's 600-yard run. Brayden Blackman ran a personal-best 1:16.86 to finish second while Gus Jones was third at 1:16.87.
  • Central Missouri placed 1-2 in the men's 800m run. Asher Curp won the event with a time of 2:00.45 while Ty Lewis was second at 2:00.56.
Distance
  • Korry Davis finished third in the women's 3,000m run with a time of 12:18.15.
  • Bryan O'Barr finished runner-up in the men's 3,000m run at 8:47.19.
Relays UCM track & field is scheduled to return to action January 27 at the Wendy's Pittsburg State Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan.
