DENVER, Colo. – The Central Missouri Jennies (2-3, 0-0) split a doubleheader falling to No. 13 West Florida Argonauts (3-1, 0-0) by a final score of 3-1 (27-25, 24-26, 20-25, 12-25) before defeating No. 16 Cal State LA Golden Eagles (2-4, 0-0) by a score of 3-2 (25-19, 24-26, 18-25, 25-19, 15-9) on Friday, Sept. 8, in the opening day of the Colorado Premier Challenge from Regis Field House in Denver, Colo.
UCM returns to the court on Saturday, Sept. 9, taking on UT-Tyler at 10:00 a.m. from Auraria Event Center in Denver, Colo.

There were nine lead changes in the opening set, none of which were bigger than setter
Olivia Olson's (match-high 36 assists, 13 digs, six kills and three blocks overall) fourth kill giving UCM a 25-24 lead propelling them to a set one victory. Trailing 6-1 in set two, the Jens tied the set at 19 with back-to-back kills from
Kersti Nix (match-high 18 kills, team-high 15 digs and two blocks overall) before the Argonauts claimed the set thanks to a 5-0 run.

Tiffany Little recorded 12 kills and four digs while middle blocker
Grace Southern added 11 kills and three blocks respectively. Central Missouri was led defensively by sophomore
Rachel Ziesman's (four kills overall) career-high five blocks, plus, libero
Grace Winkelmann added a team-high 14 digs and a career-high six assists.

The Jennies scored the first point of the match thanks to a kill from redshirt junior
Grace Southern (nine kills, five blocks and four digs overall) from setter
Olivia Olson and never relinquished the set leading by as many as eight. The Golden Eagles responded taking the next two sets, but Central Missouri fought back taking the fourth on a 6-0 run.
The Jens took an early 6-1 lead in the final set which proved to be the difference as they picked up their second win of the season led by double-double performances from setter
Olivia Olson (match-high 45 assists, team-high 13 digs and four kills) and redshirt senior
Kersti Nix (team-high 16 kills, 11 digs and three blocks).
