SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. -- University of Central Missouri Mules Golf is in second place and Sager leads individually after the first day of the Lincoln Invitational Monday, Sept. 11 at The Club at Porto Cima. The Mules shot a two-round combined score of 588 (+12) and sit five strokes behind Rogers State, who currently leads the tournament at 583 (+7). Missouri Southern rounds out the top three teams at 591 (+15).
Robert Sager currently leads the tournament with a two-round total of 141 (-3). Sager started the day firing a five-under par 67 and shot a closing round of 74 (+2).
Calvin Dillon also found himself in the top 15, tied for 14th place. Dillon shot a first-round score of 76 (+4) and improved to even-par 72 on his second 18 for a combined total of 148 (+4).
Jack Hope followed close behind, sitting tied for 18th at five-over (149). Hope shot a first round 77 (+5) and also improved to an even-par 72 on his second round.
Brooks Baldwin and
Cole Elling rounded out the Mules' scoring. Baldwin shot a consistent 75 (+3) both rounds and is tied for 25th at 6-over par (150). Elling wrapped up the day tied for 53rd after shooting a first round 80 (+8) and a second round 77 (+5).
The Mules will play the final round of the tournament Tuesday, Sept. 12.
