WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Board of Governors approved the renovation of the Terry Noland Football Offices, it was announced Tuesday, August 29.
"With the approval of the Terry Noland Football Office Renovation Project, there are many individuals who deserve recognition for making this possible," UCM Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Matt Howdeshell said. "First, the Board of Governors and President Roger Best for realizing this need and granting approval. Next, our passionate football alumni and donors, including the Mule Ball Brothers for Life (MBBL) for their generous support and patience. Also, Coach
Josh Lamberson and the University Foundation for their perseverance and engagement. This project is exciting for many reasons: It will serve our student-athletes daily, help them maximize their academic and athletic potential, and enhance their experience. Also, it shows what is possible when UCM alumni and supporters unite around a common goal. The future is incredibly bright for UCM Athletics and Mules Football."
The board approved a contract to Infinity Group, LLC out of Oak Grove, Mo., to provide labor and materials for the renovations in its August meeting. The complete overhaul of the space incorporates the addition of coaches' offices, position meeting rooms, a reception area, and much more – creating an impactful first impression for prospective student-athletes and a place to call home for current and future Mules. These much-needed upgrades provide the resources and space to empower them to perform at their best both on and off the field.
"I am beyond excited to express my deep appreciation for this incredible project that will help in elevating our program to new heights," Mules head football coach
Josh Lamberson said. "This facility marks a significant milestone in the continued growth and development of our football program. The generosity of our alumni donors with specific appreciation to the Mule Ball Brothers for Life (MBBL) and the university's commitment to our success is truly inspiring."
"I would also like to thank the university's administration, President Best, the late Jerry Hughes, Dr. Matt Howdeshell, the UCM Foundation, and the UCM Board of Governors for their vision and commitment to creating an environment that fosters excellence," Lamberson added. "The construction of the newly remodeled Terry Noland Football Offices represents a new chapter in our program's history. We look forward to the day when we can welcome our alumni, fans, and the entire community to experience our new facility that will propel our student-athletes to an entirely new level. Together, we are shaping the future of Central Missouri Football, and I couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead for our football program."
Noland was the head football coach for the Mules from 1983-1996 and helped UCM capture four MIAA Championships (1983, 1986, 1987, 1988).
