  • Jennies softball continues MIAA play as they hit the road for a pair of doubleheaders against the Newman Jets (Friday, April 7) beginning at 2:00 p.m. from NU Softball Field in Wichita, Kan. and No. 4 Central Oklahoma Bronchos (Saturday, April 8) beginning at noon from Gerry Pinkston Field in Edmond, Okla.  
  • UCM heads into play on Friday afternoon following a doubleheader sweep of the Lincoln Blue Tigers by final scores of 14-3 (5 inn.) and 10-0 (5 inn.) on Tuesday, April 4, from Vogel Field in Jefferson City, Mo.

SERIES HISTORY
  • Newman: Heading into Friday afternoon, the Jennies have a perfect 5-0 record all-time against the Jets dating back to the 2018 season. Last season, UCM swept both games winning 10-2 (5 inn.) and 6-3 (4/9/2022) from Jennies Field in Warrensburg.  
  • No. 4 Central Oklahoma: Ahead of Saturday's doubleheader, the Bronchos hold a 23-19 advantage all-time including a 10-6 record in Edmond dating back to the 1989 season. Last year, UCO took both contests in Warrensburg winning 12-2 (5 inn.) and 6-0 (4/10/2022).  
 
 
UCM DURING the ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson enters her 17th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 475-358 (.570).
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 13 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournament appearances and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 17 first team All-MIAA selections, eight All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
