Jennies Softball Concludes Homestand with Doubleheader Against Northern State Tuesday

FIRST PITCH

Central Missouri returns to the diamond on Tuesday, March 14, as they host the Northern State Wolves to conclude a six-game homestand with a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. from the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg, Mo.
UCM heads into play on Tuesday afternoon following a doubleheader sweep of the Pittsburg State Gorillas 7-2 and 4-2 on Sunday, March 12, at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
The Jennies feature five players that are hitting above .300 entering play on Tuesday including Abby Allnutt (.404 avg., 6 R, 2 2B, 1 3B, 12 RBI, .489 SLG%, .420 OB%, 1 SB), Makenzie McAtee (.393 avg., 16 R, 2 2B, 3 HR, 14 RBI, .589 SLG%, .541 OB%, 1 SB), MaKenzie Cooper (.379 avg., 2 R, 2 2B, 1 HR, 7 RBI, .552 SLG%, .457 OB%), Abby Fischer (.358 avg., 20 R, 2 2B, 4 3B, 2 HR, 12 RBI, .597 SLG%, .436 OB%, 4 SB) and Ashlyn Cook (.333 avg., 16 R, 22 H, 8 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 21 RBI, .621 SLG%, .387 OB%, 5 SB).
Through 17 games, Central Missouri is paced in the circle by Andi Siebeneck (2.22 ERA, 3-2, 1 CG, 28.1 IP, 25 H, 13 R, 9 ER, 28 K), Paige Petefish (2.74 ERA, 4-1, 3 CG, 46.0 IP, 38 H, 21 R, 18 ER, 45 K) and Kaylee Diggs (2.80 ERA, 4-2, 1 CG, 1 SV, 25.0 IP, 25 H, 14 R, 10 ER, 11 K).
As a team, the Jens are hitting .309 with an OPS of .822 and 36 stolen bases while limiting their opponents to a .244 average. UCM has a team ERA of 2.92 and a fielding percentage of .960.

SERIES HISTORY

Northern State: Ahead of Tuesday's doubleheader, the Jennies hold a 4-1 advantage over the Wolves all-time dating back to the 2006 season. The most recent matchup came in 2018, with UCM winning 4-3 on Sunday, March 18, in Maryville, Mo. at the Missouri Western Regional Crossover.

Susan Anderson enters her 17^th season as head coach of the Jennies where she is the second winningest coach in program history with a record of 475-358 (.570).
Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson has made 13 MIAA tournament appearances, five regional tournament appearances and one Elite Eight appearance.
The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 17 first team All-MIAA selections, eight All-Region selections, two All-Americans and one MIAA MVP.
