- No. 10-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball (21-3, 17-3 MIAA) is scheduled to wrap up its 2022-23 regular season schedule with a pair of road games in Oklahoma Thursday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 25. UCM is slated to face the Rogers State Hillcats (4-22, 2-18 MIAA) Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Claremore before taking on the Northeastern State RiverHawks (6-18, 3-17 MIAA) Saturday in Tahlequah at 1:30 p.m.
- The Jennies are coming off a pair of home victories over Emporia State and Washburn Feb. 16 and 18 in Warrensburg. Central Missouri defeated Emporia State Thursday, Feb. 16, 78-70, before rolling to a 78-54 triumph over Washburn Saturday, Feb. 18, on Senior Day and Hall of Fame Day.
- Through 24 games, the Jennies are paced by redshirt sophomores Brooke Littrell (20.0 ppg., 8.8 rpg., .506 FG%, .377 3FG%, .871 FT%, 55 A, 26 Blk, 36 Stl) and Olivia Nelson (12.9 ppg., 3.1 rpg., .487 FG%, .343 3FG%, .915 FT%, 96 A, 30 Stl), and junior Ashley Tull (9.7 ppg., 5.5 rpg., .561 FG%, 40 Blk, 14 Stl).
- As a team, UCM is averaging 75.6 points and 39.9 rebounds per game and shooting 46.6 percent from the field while holding its opponents to 60.2 points and 31.8 rebounds per game and a 38.3 percent field-goal percentage.
- The Jennies are ninth in all of NCAA Division II in field-goal percentage through 24 games at 46.6 percent. - Brooke Littrell scored 25 points and Olivia Nelson added 15 points as the No. 12-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball team demolished the Washburn Ichabods, 78-54, on Senior Day and Hall of Fame Day Saturday, Feb. 18, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
- Littrell went 10-of-14 from the floor, including a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range, and was 2-of-2 at the free-throw line for her game-high 25 points while Nelson was 5-of-10 from the floor, 2-of-4 from beyond-the-arc and 3-for-3 at the foul line for her 15 points.
- Ashley Tull also reached double figures for the Jennies with 10 points, and Robin Campbell pulled down a career and game-high nine rebounds.
- Central Missouri never trailed in the game.
- UCM shot 51 percent from the field, going 29-of-57, and were 7-for-18 from three-point range for 39 percent. The Jennies converted 13 out of 15 free-throws for 87 percent and controlled the glass, outrebounding the Ichabods (11-15, 7-13 MIAA), 31-25.
- Central Missouri outscored Washburn off turnovers in the game, 23-11.
Last Time Out vs. Rogers State
- Ashley Tull tied her career-high with 15 points and Graycen Holden and Brooke Littrell each scored in double figures leading No. 5-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball to an 81-58 victory over the Rogers State Hillcats Saturday afternoon, Jan. 14, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
- The Jennies tied the best start in program history – set in 1995-96 – with the win and improved to 15-0 overall and 11-0 in the MIAA.
- Tull went 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-6 at the free-throw line for her career-best 15 points and added a team-best two blocks while Holden netted 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting and a 4-of-6 performance at the foul line and snagged six rebounds, and Littrell tallied 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting while pulling down a game-high eight rebounds to go along with five steals and three assists.
- Lauren Frost dished out a game-high six assists and had four steals, respectively.
- Central Missouri shot 48 percent from the field, making 31 out of 65 attempts, and were 6-of-17 from three-point range for 35 percent. UCM converted 13 out of 20 free throws for 65 percent.
- The Jennies outrebounded the Hillcats, 41-36, outscored Rogers State in the paint, 46-14, and turned 18 RSU turnovers into 23 points in the contest.
Last Time Out vs. Northeastern State
- Brooke Littrell scored 29 points and Ashley Tull tallied a double-double with a career-best 15 points and 12 rebounds as No. 5-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball sprinted past the Northeastern State RiverHawks, 79-64, Thursday, Jan. 12, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
- Littrell went 9-for-14 from the floor, including a 3-of-5 performance from three-point range, and a perfect 8-of-8 at the free-throw line on the way to her game-high 29 points. She also had five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in the victory.
- Tull posted her first double-double of the season, going 7-of-11 from the field for her career-best 15 points while pulling down six offensive and defensive rebounds for her 12 boards and had a game-high three blocks.
- For the game, Central Missouri was 30-of-69 from the field for 44 percent, 5-of-14 from three-point range for 36 percent and went 14-of-17 at the free-throw line for 82 percent.
- The Jennies outrebounded the RiverHawks, 42-34, and outscored Northeastern State in the paint, 44-26, and off turnovers, 27-14.
Individual Milestones
- UCM head coach Dave Slifer is four wins away from tallying his 400th victory as head coach of the Jennies. Slifer is an impressive 396-169 in his 19 seasons as the Central Missouri women's basketball head coach. He's already the winningest head coach in both UCM and MIAA women's basketball history, and the second-winningest coach in NCAA Division II history (780 career victories in 33 seasons).
Littrell Earns Fifth MIAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week Honor
- For the fifth time this season, the MIAA Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week honor belongs to Central Missouri Jennies basketball's Brooke Littrell, the conference office announced Monday, Feb. 20.
- Littrell averaged an impressive 25 points, 8.5 rebounds, five assists and two steals per game in Central Missouri's pair of home victories over Emporia State and Washburn Feb. 16 and 18.
- On the week, she went 18-of-30 from the floor for 60 percent, 3-of-4 from beyond-the-arc for 75 percent and was a flawless 11-of-11 at the free-throw line.
A Streak for the Record Books
- UCM's 16 consecutive wins to start the season set a new mark for the best start in program history, surpassing the 15 straight victories in 1995-96.
- The streak was snapped when Central Missouri fell at Missouri Western Jan. 21, 66-63.
Jennies in the Rankings
- UCM is ranked No. 10 in the most recent WBCA Division II Coaches' Poll and No. 15 in the latest D2SIDA Division II Media Poll.
- In the latest NCAA Division II Central Regional Rankings released Wednesday, Feb. 22, the Jennies are ranked No. 3. The three conference tournament championship winners out of the MIAA, Northern Sun (NSIC) and Great American (GAC) conferences receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, along with the next five at-large teams for a field of eight.
- Central Missouri was picked third in the 2022-23 MIAA Preseason Media Poll and fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll. UCM received three first-place votes and 218 points in the media poll and 127 points in the coaches' poll.

- Tickets for the 2023 MIAA Basketball Championships presented by Southern Bank are on sale now. The 2023 MIAA Basketball Championships are set for March 1-5 at historical Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City, Mo. Tickets can be purchased at all 14 MIAA campus box offices and on Ticketmaster. Fans can once again save $25 on All-Tournament passes by purchasing them at campus box offices ahead of time.
