WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- Central Missouri Jennies Bowling finished 11th at the Hawk Classic Sunday, Nov. 19 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Jennies finished 5-8 overall with a final day record of 2-1, averaging 205.6 for 66 total games in the 22-team tournament. Jacksonville State was the tournament title winner while Youngstown State took runner-up.Â
In the first match of the final day, the Jennies defeated Mount St. Mary's 1042-942 to end the Qualifying rounds. Once in the bracket rounds, which where Baker Format, the Jennies fell to Mount St. Mary's 1-4. In a comeback effort, the Jennies went on to defeat St. Francis (PA) in their final match 4-2, earning 11th place.
Individually, Junior Norma Romero Alarid led the Jennies averaging 228.3, earning fifth place overall. Graduate Student
Bree Heathscott finished next for the Jennies with a 207.8 average.
The Jennies are back in Warrensburg Saturday, Jan. 6, hosting the Mid-Missouri Challenge.
