INDIANAPOLIS -- No. 15-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer has been selected as the No. 5 seed in the NCAA-II Central Regional and will face No. 4 seed Minnesota State in a first round match Friday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m. at Yager Stadium in Topeka, Kan.
Topeka is home to the top seed and one of two hosts for the Central Regional, Washburn University. No. 2 seed Emporia State is the other host for the eight-team regional field.
The Jennies (15-4-2) and Mavericks (11-3-5) met earlier this season back on Sept. 8 in Mankato, Minn., with Minnesota State narrowly defeating UCM, 1-0.
The host Washburn Ichabods will face Ouachita Baptist in the other first round match Friday at 6 p.m.
The winners of each first round match will advance to a second round contest at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19, in Topeka.
