STRUTHERS, Ohio -- No. 19-ranked Central Missouri Jennies Bowling advanced to seventh Sunday, Oct 15,. for the final day of the YSU Penguin Classic. The Jennies finished the tournament with a 6-7 record and a 187.2 pin fall average. No. 3 Arkansas State won the tournament with a 10-3 record, No.7 Youngstown State was runner-up going 9-4, and No. 4 Nebraska rounded out the top three with a record of 8-5.
The day consisted of three more Baker matches to qualify for one round in the championship bracket. The Jennies went 0-3 in the Baker matches, falling to No. 11 Duquesne, No. 3 Arkansas State and Valparaiso.
This qualified the Jennies for eighth place heading into the championship bracket, in which they faced Lewis University, who had qualified for seventh. The Jennies went on to defeat Lewis University 1,070 to 937 and earned seventh place.Â
The Jennies are back on the road Nov. 3-5 in Houston, Texas for the TRACK Kat Klash hosted by Sam Houston State.Â
