No. 5 Jennies Basketball Sprints Past Northeastern State Thursday, 79-64

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Brooke Littrell scored 29 points and Ashley Tull tallied a double-double with a career-best 15 points and 12 rebounds as No. 5-ranked Central Missouri Jennies basketball sprinted past the Northeastern State RiverHawks, 79-64, Thursday, Jan. 12, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.

The Jennies (14-0, 10-0 MIAA), who have now won 14 consecutive games, are scheduled to host the Rogers State Hillcats (4-12, 2-8 MIAA) Saturday, Jan. 14, at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg.

Littrell, a redshirt sophomore from Green City, Mo., went 9-for-14 from the floor, including a 3-of-5 performance from three-point range, and a perfect 8-of-8 at the free-throw line on the way to her game-high 29 points. She also had five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks in the victory.

A junior from Troy Mills, Iowa, Tull posted her first double-double of the season, going 7-of-11 from the field for her career-best 15 points while pulling down six offensive and defensive rebounds for her 12 boards and had a game-high three blocks.

For the game, Central Missouri was 30-of-69 from the field for 44 percent, 5-of-14 from three-point range for 36 percent and went 14-of-17 at the free-throw line for 82 percent.

The Jennies outrebounded the RiverHawks (5-9, 2-8 MIAA), 42-34, and outscored Northeastern State in the paint, 44-26, and off turnovers, 27-14.

Bri Wietelman scored 16 points, pacing the RiverHawks.
