WINONA, Minn. – Central Missouri Mules golf fired a final round 18-over par 302, finishing in fifth place out of 14 teams at the 2022 NCAA-II Super Regional Preview at The Bridges Golf Course Wednesday, Sept. 7.
UCM compiled a 36-hole team score of 30-over par 598 (296-302) during the two-day tournament.
The host Winona State Warriors captured the team title with a two-round, 10-over par 578 (294-284), while Washburn was second at 22-over par 590 (294-296). Wayne State (Mich.) rounded out the top-three in third with a 23-over par 591.
Junior
Robert Sager tied for 10th at 6-over par 148 (72-76), pacing Central Missouri on the leaderboard, while
Alex Gentry also finished in the top-20, tying for 19th at 8-over par 150 (75-75).
Andrew Whittaker tied for 32nd at 9-over par 151 (76-75),
Caleb Peters tied for 42nd at 11-over par 153 (77-76), and
Calvin Dillon tied for 59th at 15-over par 157 (73-84), rounding out the UCM scoring.
The Mules'
Nick Fallin, who competed as an individual, tied for 42nd with a 36-hole, 11-over par 153 (79-74).
Winona State's Alessandro Trenta captured individual medalist honors, tallying a two-round 1-under par 141 (73-68).
Central Missouri is scheduled to return to action Sept. 19-20 at the Northeastern State Men's Golf Classic at Muskogee Country Club in Muskogee, Okla.
