- No. 6-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer (5-0-1, 0-0-0 MIAA) returns home to the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg for matches against Missouri Western (2-2-2, 0-0-0 MIAA) and Northwest Missouri (3-1-2, 0-0-0 MIAA) Friday, Sept. 16, and Sunday, Sept. 18. The Jennies are slated to take on the Griffons of Missouri Western at 7 p.m. Friday in a non-conference match before facing off against the Northwest Missouri Bearcats Sunday at 1 p.m. for the 2022 MIAA opener.
- Central Missouri is coming off a 2-0-0 week, recording an 8-2 victory over Missouri Southern at home Friday, Sept. 9, and a 1-0, shutout road win at Northwest Missouri Sunday, Sept. 11.
- Through six matches, redshirt sophomore Caroline Cole leads UCM with six goals and three assists for 15 points and 13 shots on goal on 21 total shot attempts for a .619 shots on goal percentage. Julia Kristensen, has three goals, while Madilyn Hamline has two, and Lindsay Edmonds, Shyanne Best, Kloee Grubb, Macy Ruffalo, Rylie Hughes, Kate Hermelink, Greycen Erisman, Alexis Christopherson and Anna Lack each have one. Kristensen, Hamline and Ashleigh Martin have two assists, each, and Edmonds, Molly Ricker, Cassie Forcellini, Andree Orcutt and Peyton Wagoner each have one assist.
- Cole leads the MIAA in goals, points and shots on goal, and is third in assists, while Kristensen is tied for third in goals. In the latest NCAA Division II national statistics, Cole is eighth in points, 10th in goals, 13th in points per match (2.50) and 15th in goals per match (1.00).
- In goal for UCM, sophomore Sydney Beck is 5-0-1 with 16 saves, one shutout and six goals-allowed for a 1.09 goals-against average (GAA) in 495:00.
- The Jennies lead the MIAA through six matches in goals (20), assists (14) and points (54), and are fourth in total goals, sixth in total points and ninth in total assists in the most recent NCAA-II national rankings.
- Central Missouri is the preseason favorite in the MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- UCM moved back up to No. 6 in this week's United Soccer Coaches' Division II Coaches' Poll. The Jennies were 19th in last week's poll before their two wins over Missouri Southern and Northwest Missouri Sept. 9 and 11.

- Dating back to the 2016 season, the Jennies are 62-3-1 at the South Recreation Complex. During that span, UCM has surrendered just 46 goals.
- All-time at the South Recreation Complex, UCM is 202-34-9 under head coach Lewis Theobald and 139-13-8 in overall program history. The Jennies have compiled undefeated home records five times.

Series History
- Missouri Western: Friday's non-conference tilt against the Griffons will mark meeting 30 in the all-time series that dates back to 2005. UCM leads the series, 28-1-0, including a 15-0-0 mark in Warrensburg. Last season, Central Missouri went 2-0 against Missouri Western, winning in St. Joseph, Mo., 3-2, and at home, 2-0.
- Northwest Missouri: Sunday's MIAA opener vs. Northwest Missouri will be meeting 43 in the all-time series going back to 1999. Central Missouri leads the series, 34-3-5, and is 19-1-0 against the Bearcats at the South Recreation Complex. The Jennies faced the Bearcats Sept. 11 in Maryville in a non-league match, earning a 1-0 shutout win on Kloee Grubb's goal with seven minutes remaining in the match.
Head Coach Lewis Theobald
Central Missouri women's soccer head coach
Lewis Theobald, now in his 15th year, has transformed the Jennies Soccer program into one of the premier programs not only in the MIAA, but in all of NCAA Division II.
The 10-time MIAA and five-time region Coach of the Year has an impressive 261-39-22 record. He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history and is the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history. He brought home the program's first ever National Championship in the 2017 season.
Theobald enters the 2022 season as the winningest active coach in Division II women's soccer with an .843 winning percentage, among coaches with at least five years on the sidelines. He also is the all-time D-II leader among coaches with at least 10 years and is sixth all-time in all NCAA Divisions.
During his tenure, Theobald has coached 19 All-Americans and 119 All-MIAA honorees.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas, Theobald received his bachelor's degree in education with a concentration in physical education.
