SMYRNA, Tenn. – No. 23-ranked Central Missouri Jennies bowling went a perfect 3-0 on the final day of the Columbia 300 Music City Classic Sunday, March 20, at the Smyrna Bowling Center to finish with an overall record of 9-4 and place 13th out of 33 teams in the final team standings.
The Jennies are scheduled to begin postseason competition March 26-27 at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship in Valley Park, Mo.
Central Missouri posted wins over six top-25 teams during the three-day tournament, including two top-10 opponents in No. 2 Nebraska and No. 9 Youngstown State in team games pool play Saturday. UCM also defeated No. 18 Wisconsin-Whitewater and Alabama Birmingham in team games pool play.
In the Jennies' 3-0 showing Sunday in the Baker Match Play bracket, UCM compiled victories over No. 20 Long Island University, No. 25 Monmouth and No. 15 Tulane.
Friday, in Baker Pinfall pool play, Central Missouri recorded wins over Kentucky Wesleyan and Jackson State University.
Norma Alicia Romero Alarid led the Jennies in team average with a 201.8 average while
Jacqueline Garcia-Ulloa was second with a 197.8 average.
