RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. -- Central Missouri Jennies basketball student-athletes
Brooke Littrell and
Nija Collier were voted to the Division 2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Central Region teams, the organization announced Thursday, March 10. Littrell garnered first team honors while Collier received second team accolades.
The Jennies were the only team in the Central Region to have two named All-Region.
Littrell, a redshirt freshman forward from Green City, Mo., garnered her first-career All-Region honor after leading Central Missouri, ranking second in the MIAA and fifth in NCAA-II in scoring with 21 points per game during the 2021-22 season. She also paced the conference and ranked 14th in the country in free-throw percentage at 88 percent, going 162-of-185 at the foul line in UCM's 30 games. An All-MIAA First Team selection, Littrell ranked third in the conference in rebounding with 9.3 boards per game double-doubles with 13, and fourth in field-goal percentage at 48 percent, making 218 shots in 460 attempts.
A redshirt senior forward from Roseville, Mich., Collier earned her second-career All-Region nod after pacing the Jennies and the MIAA, and ranking 13th nationally in rebounding during the 2021-22 season at 11.3 rebounds per game. In addition, she paced the conference and was fifth in NCAA-II with her 18 double-doubles on the season. Collier was second on the team and fourth in the MIAA with 18.7 points per game and led UCM and was second in the conference with 1.7 blocks per game. Her 49 percent field-goal percentage (201-of-410) was third-best in the MIAA for 2021-22.
The D2CCA All-Central Region women's basketball teams were voted on by the region's sports information directors. The Central Region is comprised of the MIAA, Great American Conference (GAC) and the Northern Sunce Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
All First Team All-Region honorees advance to the D2CCA All-American ballot.
