  • Central Missouri Jennies softball (1-7) will look to get back in the win column when it travels to Topeka, Kan., Feb. 26-27 for the Washburn Invitational. UCM is slated to play four games in the event, starting Saturday, Feb. 26, vs. the Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs at 10:30 a.m. and Sioux Falls Cougars at 2:30 p.m. before facing the UMSL Tritons at 3:30 p.m. and Wayne State Wildcats at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27. 
  • The Jennies are coming off a 1-3 showing in the ESU Softball Classic Tri-Quad Feb. 20-21 in Maryville, Mo. UCM split two games with No. 6 Minnesota State, winning 4-3 and falling 4-0, and dropped a pair of games to Minnesoa Duluth, 8-0 and 9-5.

  • Sioux Falls: UCM leads the all-time-series against the Cougars 4-1. Last season, Sioux Falls earned its first win in the series, defeating Central Missouri, 3-1, in Topeka, Kan. 
  • Missouri-St. Louis: The Jennies and Tritons will meet for the 56th time in the all-time series Sunday in Topeka. UCM leads the series, 32-23, after shutting out UMSL in Topeka last season, 7-0. 
  • Wayne State (Neb.): UCM and Wayne State have met 16 times, all-time. The Jennies lead the Warriors, 10-6. UCM won the last meeting in 2021, 5-1, in Topeka, Kan.
