BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- No. 20-ranked Central Missouri Mules golf wrapped up its fall season Tuesday, Oct. 25, at The Tulsa Cup at The Club at Indian Springs. The Mules finished tied with Missouri Southern for ninth place after shooting a two-day combined score of 612 (+36).
Northeastern State won the tournament via a playoff, shooting a team score of 590 (+14). Southwestern Oklahoma State took runner-up, also shooting a score of 590 (+14). Henderson State finished third of the top three teams, shooting 591 (+15).
The Mules were led by redshirt sophomore
Alex Gentry, who finished tied for 10th. Gentry finished the first round at 2-under par (70) and shot 78 (+6) in the second round for a two-day score of 148 (+4).
Freshman
Andrew Whittaker finished tied for 19th. Whittaker shot 79 (+7) and 72 (even) for a combined 151 (+7).
Redshirt junior
Caden Ellis improved after day one, shooting 80 (+8) and 76 (+4) for a combined 156 (+12). He finished tied for 48th.
Redshirt sophomore
Calvin Dillon and junior
Robert Sager rounded out the Mules scoring, shooting 158 (+14) and 161 (+17), respectively. Dillon finished tied for 59th and Sager tied for 72nd.
This tournament concluded the Mules fall schedule. Central Missouri will begin the spring portion of its schedule at a to be determined date and location.
