ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The 18th-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team wrapped up the Seawolf Invitational with a pair of straight-set wins over the Indianapolis Greyhounds and host Alaska Anchorage Seawolves Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Alaska Airlines Center. UCM took down the Greyhounds in the first match of the day, 3-0, with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 before downing the Seawolves, 3-0, in the nightcap, 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

The Jennies (4-0) are scheduled to compete in the Colorado Premier Challenge Friday, Sept. 10, and Saturday, Sept. 11, in Denver, Colo.

Redshirt sophomore Kersti Nix hit a blistering .538 and tallied a double-double with a match-best 14 kills, going along with 11 digs, helping the Jennies to their 3-0 sweep over Indianapolis (0-3) in the opening match of the day.

The 14 kills from Nix marked a career best. Ally Offerdahl added a match-high 35 assists, while Rylie Barnum tied her career-high with a match-best 20 digs, and Hannah Engelken, Audrey Fisher and Offerdahl each posted a match-high four blocks.

The Jennies hit .254 for the match while limiting the Greyhounds to just .114 hitting, and came up big at the net, tallying a 9-3 advantage in blocks for the contest.

Lauren Cullison posted 12 kills, pacing Indianapolis, respectively.

In the nightcap sweep of the host Seawolves (6-2), Nix continued where she left off to start the day, posting her second consecutive double-double on the day and third of the season with a match and career-best 15 kills, and 12 digs, going along with .333 hitting. Offerdahl compiled a match-high 32 assists, and Engelken had a match-best six blocks, rounding out the Central Missouri leaders for the contest.

The Jennies only hit .222 for the match, but held UAA to just .008 hitting, including limiting the Seawolves to negative attacking percentages in both the second and third sets.
