BOLIVAR, Mo. – Mules cross country opened their 2021 season with a second-place finish at the Richard Clark SBU Invitational hosted by Southwest Baptist University Saturday, Sept. 4, in Bolivar.
Freshman
Bryan O'Barr, and seniors
Alex Kirk and
Zach Adams all had top-10 finishes for the Mules.
In his first meet in the Cardinal and Black, O'Barr clocked a time of 20:17.26, finishing fourth, while Kirk was sixth at 20:27.14 and Adams was eighth at 20:32.30.
Cooper Palmer placed 14th with a time of 20:47.50 and
Aaron Westhoff was 18th at 20:54.08, rounding out UCM's top-20 performers.
Missouri Southern claimed the team title at the meet with 30 points, while the Mules were second with 51 points and the host SBU Bearcats rounded out the top-three in third with 84 points.
Central Missouri returns to action Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
