JOPLIN, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Mules cross country ran a team time of 2:10:14 and tallied 217 points to finish sixth at the Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Tom Rutledge Cross Country Course in Joplin.
Freshman
Bryan O'Barr placed 19th and clocked a time of 25:19.9, leading Central Missouri, while
Alex Kirk also finished in the top-25, placing 24th at 25:29.8.
Cooper Palmer placed just outside the top-50, finishing 52nd at 26:15.9, and
Zach Adams clocked a time of 26:27.8 to finish 58th.
Blake Nichols finished 73rd at 26:40.6, rounding out the Mules in the top-100.
Pittsburg State claimed the team title with 53 points and a time of 2:05:02, followed by the host Missouri Southern Lions in second with 74 points and a time of 2:04:59. St. Mary (Kan.) wrapped up the top-three in third with 95 points and a time of 2:06:27.
UCM is scheduled to travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri Friday, Oct. 1.
