EDMOND, Okla. (April 9, 2021) - Central Missouri Jennies Soccer won their third straight match Friday night. The Jennies and Bronchos went to overtime where the Jens prevailed 3-2.
Central Missouri scored the first two goals of the game three minutes apart in the first half.
Sydney Leslie scored the first in the 22nd minute and in the 25th,
Kassie Newsom added the second for a 2-0 UCM lead.
The Jennies took that lead into the half, but less than five minutes to the second half, the Bronchos found the back of the net to cut the lead to 2-1. Shortly after, UCO tied the game in the 68th minute. The Bronchos controlled play for much of the second half, outshooting the Jennies 16-1 over the final 45 minutes.
Lindsey Johnson kept the game tied making three saves in the second.
In overtime it was Newsom again scoring her second of the game, just four minutes into the extra period for a 3-2 Jennies win.
The Jennies have another match this weekend, Sunday, April 11 at Rogers State. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
