WARRENSBURG, Mo. (March 28, 2021) - Central Missouri Soccer suffered a 4-2 loss to Emporia State Sunday afternoon on Jennies Field.
Emporia State shutout the Jennies 3-0 in the first half and added another score in the second half to take a 4-0 advance over the Jennies.
Kassie Newsom put UCM on the board in the second half, scoring just inches from the goal line with an assist from
Caroline Cole.
Nayeli Gallo scored the final goal of the game with a shot from about 20 yards out, unassisted.
The Hornets out-shot the Jennies 12-6. Central Missouri's keeper
Sydney Daris recorded eight saves in goal.
Jennies soccer resumes their spring season next month on April 2nd. Central Missouri will take on Northwest Missouri at 3:00 p.m. in Maryville, Mo.
