ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (Feb. 6, 2021) - Central Missouri Soccer opened its spring season with a 3-0 win over Missouri Western on the road.
Freshmen
Caroline Cole scored the Jennies first goal of the year in the opening minutes. Cole connected on a pass from
Kassie Newsom just 3:45 into the match to give UCM an early 1-0 advantage. Cole was also a part of the Jennies second goal, assisting
Madi Poertner at the 38:37 mark to give UCM a 2-0 lead at the half.
Nayeli Gallo scored the final goal of the match, unassisted in the 78th minute.
Central Missouri out shot the Griffons 18-9. Jennies goal keeper
Hanna Groh finished with four saves.
Jennies Soccer will play their home opener next Friday, March 5 against Northwest Missouri.
