EDMOND, Okla. – Hannah Engelken posted a career-high 18 kills and
Ally Offerdahl tallied her 15th double-double of the season leading No. 4-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies volleyball to a 3-1 victory over the Central Oklahoma Bronchos Tuesday, Nov. 9, inside Hamilton Fieldhouse. The set scores were 25-13, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-18.
The Jennies improved to 24-3 on the season and 17-2 in the MIAA with the win while the Bronchos dropped to 19-9 overall and 12-8 in conference action.
Engelken, a redshirt junior from Overland Park, Kan., compiled her career-best 18 kills on 39 attempts with only three errors for a .385 attacking percentage and had a match-high six blocks in the contest.
A redshirt senior from Prairie Village, Kan., Offerdahl picked up her team-high 15th double-double of 2021 after dishing out a match-best 47 assists with 17 digs, while
Audrey Fisher added 16 kills and hit .385, marking the 22nd time this season she has hit at least .300 in a match, including the last 15 straight contests.
Rylie Barnum had a match-high 34 digs.
Central Missouri outhit Central Oklahoma in the match, .239 to .146, and bested the Bronchos in kills (65-53), aces (3-2), blocks (9-4), assists (60-50) and digs (110-106).
Courtney Lane compiled 12 kills, pacing Central Oklahoma, respectively.
The Jennies are scheduled to return home to the UCM Multipurpose Building to host Newman (9-16, 5-14 MIAA) for Senior Night Thursday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. UCM will honor its seniors after the conclusion of the match. With a win, Central Missouri can clinch at least a share of the 2021 MIAA Regular Season Championship.
