HOUSTON – Andrea Carolina Perez Perez was named to the All-Tournament Team as the No. 17-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies bowling team finished eighth out of 16 teams at the Sam Houston State TRACK Kat Klash Sunday, Nov. 7, at Emerald Bowl.
The Jennies will be idle the remainder of the fall before returning to action Jan. 21-23 at the Upper Iowa Peacock Classic in Waterloo, Iowa, beginning the second half of their 2021-22 schedule.
Central Missouri posted a record of 7-6 in the three-day event, compiling 12,072 total pins in 65 games for an average pinfall of 185.7 per game.
Top-ranked Nebraska won the event with an 11-2 record and average pinfall of 207.5 in 67 games, while the host Sam Houston State Bearkats were second at 12-1 and an average pinfall of 205.4 in 65 games. North Carolina A&T rounded out the top-three in third with a record of 8-5 and pinfall average of 207.8 in 64 games.
Perez Perez, a freshman from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, finished fourth overall out of 107 competitors with 1,099 pins in five games for an average pinfall of 219.80, earning her first-career all-tournament team honor.
Jacqueline Garcia-Ulloa also compiled a top-20 performance, finishing 20th with 1,011 pins in five games for a 202.20 pinfall average.
Brooke Law was 28th with 966 pins in five games for a pinfall average of 193, and
Sydney Miller was 33rd with 931 pins in five games for a pinfall average of 182.20, rounding out the Jennies in the top-50 for the event.
Sam Houston State's Denise Blankenzee captured the individual title with 1,209 pins in five games for a 241.80 average.
