SAINT LEO, Fla. – University of Central Missouri Mules Cross Country concluded its 2021 season at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship Meet Saturday morning, Nov. 20, at the Abbey Golf Course in Saint Leo, Fla.
UCM, which was making its first appearance in the championship meet since 2017, clocked a team 10k time of 2:49:43.3 to finish 32nd at the meet. Grand Valley State captured the national championship with a team time of 2:32:39.5, while Adams State was second and Colorado Mines was third, rounding out the top-three.
Freshman
Bryan O'Barr posted a 10k time of 32:46.2, leading the Mules and finishing 119th out of 245 runners.
Alex Kirk ran 33:02.0 to finish in 144th, while
Blake Nichols was 185th at 33:50.6,
Cooper Palmer was 192nd at 33:57.5, and
Brady Maher was 236th at 36:07.0, wrapping up the Central Missouri finishers.
Isaac Harding of Grand Valley State won the individual national title, posting a 10k time of 29:58.3.
