HAYS, Kan. – The University of Central Missouri Mules cross country team placed sixth out of 15 teams at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Sand Plum Nature Trail.
The Mules tallied a team time of 2:07:46 in the 8K race to finish with 178 points.
Freshman
Bryan O'Barr paced Central Missouri, finishing 20th with a personal-best 8K time of 24:50.9, while
Alex Kirk finished 22nd with a personal-best 24:53.8, rounding out the Mules in the top-25 of the 183-runner race.
Adams State finished first as a team with 84 points and a team time of 2:04:34.
New Mexico Highlands' Andrew Amor claimed the individual title after posting a time of 23:45.9.
UCM is scheduled to return to action Saturday, Oct. 23, at the MIAA Cross Country Championships in Kearney, Neb.
