WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Third-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies volleyball celebrated 2021 UCM Homecoming by putting on a block party at the Multipurpose Building, tallying 13 blocks in a 3-0 sweep of the Emporia State Hornets Saturday, Oct. 23. The set scores were 25-9, 25-10 and 25-18.
The Jennies (19-2, 12-1 MIAA) have now won nine straight matches.
Audrey Fisher posted a match-high 11 kills on 20 attempts with no errors for a sizzling .550 attacking percentage and had two block solos and five block assists for a match-best seven blocks, while
Ally Offerdahl dished out a match-high 22 assists and made a pair of block assists.
Aubree Bell tallied a match-best three service aces and had a pair of block assists, and
Rylie Barnum added a team-high 13 digs, rounding out UCM leaders in the contest.
Hannah Engelken,

Hannah VanBuskirk and
Sydney Lierz all had at least one block in the match.
The Jennies outhit the Hornets (4-16, 2-11 MIAA) in the one-hour, 11-minute match, .283 to .010, and held ESU to negative hitting in two of the three sets.
It's the seventh time in 2021 Central Missouri has limited its adversary to below .100 hitting in a match.
In addition to its 13-2 blocking advantage, UCM also bested Emporia State in kills (38-23), service aces (8-1), assists (35-21) and digs (52-45).
Orianna Clements posted nine kills, leading the Hornets, respectively.
The Jennies are scheduled to welcome No. 6-ranked Northwest Missouri State to the Multipurpose Building for an MIAA match Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m.
