Jennies Bowling Wraps Up Exhibition Matches vs. Nebraska, Newman

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Jennies bowling team wrapped up a pair of exhibition tune up matches in preparation for their 2021-22 competition schedule, dropping both exhibitions, 1-0, at defending National Champion Nebraska Oct. 7 in Lincoln, Neb., and in Lee's Summit, Mo., against Newman Oct. 12. The Jets finished seventh at the 2021 USBC Championships. 

Both exhibition matches were played using a Megamatch format, which is a combination of all three NCAA competition formats used during the postseason; Team Game, Baker Total Pinfall, and Baker Match Play.

Nebraska 1, Jennies 0 (exhibition)
  • Freshman Hannah Abbott was Central Missouri's top performer in the match, tallying an individual score of 178.
Newman 1, Jennies 0 (exhibition)
  • Freshman Brooke Law was the top performer for the Jennies with an individual game score of 279 while fellow freshman Andrea Perez was second for UCM with a 212 individual game score.
  • Law also became only the second Jennies player in program history to convert the very difficult 7-10 split in competition.
Central Missouri is scheduled to begin its 2021-22 regular season Oct. 16-17 at the Newman Mid-State Classic in Wichita, Kan.
