WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Feb. 15, 2020) - Four Mules scored in double-figures in Central Missouri's 78-74 loss to the Lopers. It was a hard-fought battle for the entire 40 minutes with neither team generating a lead larger than six points.
How it Happened:
• Central Missouri spent 18:47 seconds with the lead compared to UNK's 13 minutes.
• The game saw 12 lead changes while the Mules and Lopers were tied 11 different times throughout the game.
• With under two minutes to play until halftime, UCM gained their final lead of the first half to lead by one point, 37-36 at the break.
• Turnovers hurt the Mules chances of gaining a steady lead as the Lopers capitalized on UCM's mistakes, totaling 17 points off their 15 turnovers.
• The Lopers also totaled 19 points off trips to the foul line on 27 attempts.
• Central Missouri recorded their second-best field goal percentage of the season, finishing 26-48 for 54.2%.
• The Mules also shot over 50% from the three-point range for just the fourth time this season. Central Missouri hit 10-19 from behind the arc for 52.6%.
• Nebraska-Kearney went 25-53 from the field for 47.2% and hit only 9-23 from the three for 39.1%.
• The rebounding battled ended in a draw as both the Mules and Lopers brought down 29 boards. Central Missouri finished with six offensive and 23 defensive rebounds compared to UNK's 10 offensive and 19 defensive.
It Was Over When...

Matt Wilkinson banked in a three from the wing to make it a two-point game. The Mules were force to foul, sending Chase Winchester to the line to shoot two. Winchester made each, giving UNK a four-point advantage with 14 seconds on the clock. Central Missouri missed their final shot attempt from behind the arc as they fell to the Lopers, 78-74.
Leading the Mules:

DeAndre Sorrells finished 7-9 from the field with two three's and 2-2 at the free throw line to lead the offense with 18 points.
• Wilkinson hit the team-high of four three's as he finished with 15.

Gaven Pinkley finished with 12 points while also recording four rebounds and two blocks.
For the Lopers:
• Jake Walker finished 7-14 with six three's to lead UNK's offense with 25 points.
• Morgan Soucie went 9-15 from the field and 6-9 from the foul line to finish with 24.
• Soucie also led the Loper defense with nine boards.

• Central Missouri is 0-5 in games that have been decided by four points.
• The Mule's 52.6% performance from behind the arc was their third-best three-point field goal percentage of the season.
• Nebraska-Kearney's eight turnovers is an opponent low for the Mules this season.

Garrett Luinstra played a season-high of 31 minutes in his first career-start for the Mules.
• This was Pinkley's 20th game of the year shooting in double-figures.
• Tonight's win was the Loper's first in the Multipurpose Building since the 2014-15 season.
