JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (Dec. 12, 2020) - Central Missouri Jennies Basketball improved to 5-0 as the offense produced a season-high 92 points in a win at Lincoln. The 92-69 win moves UCM to 5-0 on the season and 3-0 on the road.

How It Happened
• The Jennies shot 48% from the field for the game and went 8-of-15 from three in their best shooting performance of the season.
• UCM held the Blue Tigers under 40% shooting for the game.
• Both teams shot well at the free throw line with UCM going 24-of-28 and the Blue Tigers 17-of-18.
• Central Missouri had a big advantage rebounding the ball, 45 to 25 and grabbed 16 offensive rebounds. All those offensive boards turned into 22 second chance points. The Jennies also scored 40 points in the paint, 28 came in the second half.
• UCM gave up the ball eight times in the first half, but lost it only twice in the second. Lincoln coughed it up 13 times and the Jens had nine steals with four blocks.
• The Jennies came out on fire, scoring the first 12 points in the game. Gigi McAtee and Brooke Littrell hit a couple of threes each. After 10 minutes, it was all Jennies as they led by 15, 25-10. The Jennies were 4-4 from three in the quarter. Lincoln scored six of their 10 points at the free throw line.
• The second quarter was a different story. The Jennies turned the ball over and Lincoln was able to quicken the pace and get back into the game. The Jennies still led by nine, 33-24, with 5:12 left in the half. Lincoln then went on a 13-4 run and took their first lead, 37-35.
• The Jennies gathered themselves though and scored the final six points of the quarter. Morgan VanHyfte and Graycen Holden each hit a pair at the line and Olivia Nelson scored a layup on a steal from VanHyfte and at the half UCM was up four, 41-37.
• UCM picked up in the third where they left off in the second. The Jennies scored the first five points of the half to get back out on top by nine. Midway through the frame, Charley Bovaird hit a three and UCM was back up double-figures, 54-42. In the final 1:18, the Jennies scored the final seven with another three from Bovaird and layups from Holden and Brooke Littrell for a 70-56 lead after three.
• A three early in the fourth from Makenna Vanzant gave the Jennies their largest lead to that point, 81-60. UCM went 2-3 from three in the final quarter, scoring 22 points as they went on to win number five on the season.

It Was Over When...
• The Jennies withstood the Lincoln run in the second quarter that entirely wiped away their 15 point lead. UCM was able to regain the lead at the half and led for the entire third quarter.
