Leading Off
• Central Missouri will hit the road one final time in the 2019 regular season when they take on Northwest Missouri Tuesday, April 23.
• The game against the Bearcats is a makeup from their game originally scheduled for March 15.
• The Jennies will then host Lincoln and Lindenwood in the final weekend of the regular season with their game against the Lions also being Senior Day, as they will recognize their six seniors.
• The Jennies remain fourth in the MIAA standings with one week left to play.
• Central Missouri was picked to finish third in the 2019 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Jennies tallied 141 points in the poll.
• 2019 will mark the 48th season of Jennies softball. It will also be the 13th season under the direction of Head Coach
Susan Anderson.

Anderson vs. the Opponents
• Coach Anderson's former team usually plays the Jennies pretty touch. Coach Anderson is 19-14 against NWMSU, but the Bearcats have won five of the last six. Against Lincoln, the Jennies are 15-2 under Coach Anderson. UCM has won 10 straight with the Blue Tigers last win coming in 2013. Lindenwood is one of the few opponents Coach Anderson has a losing record against. The Jennies are 7-8 against the Lions after being swept on the road last season.
Last Time Out
• The Jennies went 5-1 last week and nearly were 6-0. After sweeping Truman State and Fort Hays State, the Jennies let one slip against Nebraska-Kearney. They took game one 14-4 in five innings, but lost a lead late in game two for a split.

Alexa Bradley will become the eighth Jennie to ever reach 400 innings. She's also closing in on 100 appearances and is just seven away.

Lauryn Deer is in reach of the Jennies single season hits record. She has 61 this season, matching her total from a year ago. That's three away from 10th all-time for a single season and 21 shy of
Lauren Mabe's record. Deer's 23 stolen bases are also one off the single-season top 10. With seven more, she'd become the second Jennie to ever steal 30 bases in a single season, joining
Ali Jo Rogers. She's one stolen base away from being the sixth Jennie to steal 60 in a career.

Scouting the Opposition
Northwest Missouri State
• Northwest Missouri State enters the final week of the MIAA regular season at 11-22 and 6-14 in the league. They one loss away from being mathematically eliminated from the MIAA tournament.
• The Bearcats are a completely different team at home where they are undefeated at 6-0. They are 1-15 when playing in road games.
• They recently broke an eight-game losing streak with a sweep of Southwest Baptist and play their final six games in Maryville.
• The Bearcats have a group of quality hitters, led by Kaitlyn Weis. She's slugged 10 home runs and is hitting .396, both are team bests.
• Erin Keeney is hitting .313 with six long balls and has driven in 34 runs.
• Both Regan Thompson and Rachel Smith have started 14 games. Thompson is 5-10 with a 4.72 ERA and Smith has a 5.09 ERA but leads the team with 61 strikeouts.
Lincoln
• Lincoln is last in the MIAA with a 4-42 record. They have just one conference win, that came against Emporia State on March 8. They've also lost 28 straight games.
• The Blue Tigers are hitting .276 as a team led by Camryn Pryor's .381. She has three home runs.
• Rachel Balke leads the team in power with five long balls and 25 RBI.
• Shannon Green has been their best pitcher with a 7.80 ERA and 47 strikeouts.
Lindenwood
• The Lions are one of the hotter teams in the league, winners of five straight. they are 11-11 in the MIAA and still in the hunt for a spot in the postseason.
• Lindenwood is led by Stormee Galka both at the plate and in the circle. She's hitting .378 with 34 runs scored. She has also started 20 games and is 14-6 with a 3.50 ERA.
• Austine Pauley leads the club with seven home runs and has driven in 26 runs.
• Caitlyn Touchette has slugged five homers and driven in a team-high 28.
• Lindenwood has a .965 fielding percentage, one of the best in the MIAA.
• Madison Corwell has gotten eight starts on the rubber with a 4-3 record and 2.93 ERA. Marina Esparza has started six times and is 5-3 with 27 strikeouts.
