PEORIA, Ill. (March 1, 2019) - Central Missouri completed their trip to the Slugger Dome in Peoria, Ill. with a pair of wins over GLVC teams. The Jens easily defeated Lewis 10-1 in five innings to start the day, before needing extras to take down Quincy 7-6.
Game One - Central Missouri 10, Lewis 1
Play-by-Play
• The scoring started in the second as five straight Jennies reached base.
Alexis Koop knocked in the first two with a single. She then came around to score on
Kaitlyn Markin's double.
• One batter later,
Taylor Dames went deep down the left field line for a two-run home run and the Jens were staked to a 5-0 lead.
• Lewis led off the top of the third with a home run, but the Jennies scored three in the bottom half of the inning.

Makenzie McAtee walked before
Jessica Sader launced a shot to left for a two-run blast. A two-out RBI from Dames scored Markin and put the Jennies up 8-1.
• Sacrifice flies in the fourth from
Taylor Nickel and McAtee gave the Jennies 10 and
Jordan Johnson did the rest in the circle, leading UCM to a 10-1 win in five.

Jessica Sader reached base three times going 3-3 with a home run, two runs and two RBI.

Taylor Dames finished with three RBI, going 2-2 with a home run.

• Elexis Swartzentrub scored the only run for Lewis with a home run in the third. She was 1-2 with a run and an RBI.
• Kristin Kavalauskas and Brennan each had a hit in two at bats.
• Taylor Boelte got the start and lasted just 1.1 innings giving up five runs on six hits.
• Sara Serena threw the final 2.2 innings, also giving up five runs with a strikeout.
Game Two - Central Missouri 7, Quincy 6
• Central Missouri scored a run in each of the first three innings.

Lauryn Deer started the game with a leadoff single and stole second. She came around to score on
Hailey Crabtree's double and UCM was quickly up, 1-0.
• With two outs in the second, UCM took advantage of some Quincy defensive miscues which allowed Dames to score an unearned run.
• The Jens made it a 3-0 lead executing a double-steal as
Ashlyn Cook came scampering home.
• Quincy broke the shutout with a run in the third on a one-out double. They got to within a run, 3-2, scoring an unearned run in the fifth.

Jessica Sader gave the Jens some breathing room one inning later. After
Makenzie McAtee led off with a single, Sader took a 0-2 pitch over the fence for a two-run blast.
• In the bottom of the inning is when the Hawks tied the game at five. They scored on an RBI groundout, but with two outs, an error in the outfield allowed the tying run to cross the plate.
• Neither team scored in the seventh, but
Brenlyn McCoy broke the tie in the eighth with an RBI single. She later scored on
Alexis Koop's two-out RBI double.
• Quincy scored another unearned run in the bottom of the eighth and had the winning run on base, but
Jordan Johnson got a pair of pop ups to preserve the win.

Brenlyn McCoy was 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Jessica Sader hit a home and finished 2-4 with two RBI.
