Quick Hits
Last Time Out

• The Jennies went 2-0 last week to extend their winning streak to five straight. The Jens went to Oklahoma and picked up a 71-59 win over Northeastern State. Kim Crown led the Jens with 15 points. UCM then romped Central Oklahoma by 30, 80-50 in their largest win of the season. Sydney Crockett scored 19 while Morgan Fleming poured in 17.

Previously vs. WU/ESU
• Washburn kept the Jennies just far enough away back in December to come out with a 62-57 win. Neither team shot well with UCM going 2-17 from three and Washburn 3-16. The Jennies 78-61 win over Emporia State last year snapped ESU's 27-game home winning streak and brought to an end a stretch of 97 straight without losing two in a row. Redmond scored 21 while Fleming had 19.

• Morgan Fleming is two rebounds and 12 made field goals away from 300.

10 Below
• For the last three seasons the Jennies have made a habit of holding teams to fewer than 10 points in at least one quarter. It's happened in 43 games dating back to the 2016-17 season and in those games, UCM is 40-3. The Jens were 15-1 when doing so in 2016-17 and 18-1 last year including four of the six NCAA postseason games. The Jens are at it again this year. In eight games, they've held an opponent to single-digits in one quarter of play, last done vs. Southwest Baptist and are 7-1 this season.

Who's Hot?
• The Jennies! Not only have they won five straight, but they have stepped up their offense averaging 75.4 points per game during that span. Their defense has also picked up. They are second in MIAA games in points allowed with 61.3.
• The Jens have scored 70 or more points 14 times this season and are 13-1 during those games.

Scouting the Opposition
Washburn Icabods (14-6, 9-2 MIAA)

• Since the Jennies and Ichabods first met in December, Washburn has been one of the hottest teams in the MIAA. They have gone 10-2 since that game and are in second place in the MIAA at 9-2.
• Washburn's claim to fame has been it's defense. They are second in the league allowing just 59.9 points per game. They are only ninth in scoring offense averaging 68.1 points.
• The Ichabod defense not only doesn't allow you to score, as team's shoot just 37% against them, but they are also second in the league forcing 18.3 turnovers per game and have a +3.7 turnover margin.
• In addition to Phelan, Taylor Blue (11.0) and Hunter Bentley (10.4) are scoring more than 10 points per game. Phelan also leads the team with 91 assists, second in the conference.
• Bentley and Alexis McAfee are third and fourth in the MIAA in steals with 41 and 39. Annette Warner is third in the league with 32 blocked shots.
