KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 25, 2019) - Central Missouri Jennies Basketball picked up a win in their home opener last week defeating now 24th ranked Union 67-58. A big part of that was the play of senior
Morgan Fleming who was chosen as the MIAA co-Player of the Week.
Fleming led the Jennies in scoring with 19 points. She was 5-12 from the field and hit a pair of three-pointers. Fleming also proved clutch at the free throw line hitting 7-8 including going 4-4 in the final minute to put the game away. She helped out more than just scoring though, sharing the team-lead with five rounds, passing out two assists and coming up with two steals.Â
For Fleming, a senior from Liberty, Mo. this is her fourth career MIAA Player of the Week honor and first this season. She currently leads the Jennies scoring 16.5 points per game which is also sixth in the MIAA.
The Jennies play three games this week, starting tomorrow at home against William Jewell. They are then on the road following Thanksgiving in Springfield, Mo. to take on Drury and Truman State.Â
