ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Jan. 31, 2018)-- Central Missouri Mules Wrestling had another tough night on the road as they fell to MIAA foe Lindenwood, 40-4, in St. Charles. With the loss the Mules are now 3-13 overall and 1-3 against MIAA competition.
Allan Person scored the lone win for the Mules with a 13-3 major decision at 174 pounds.
The Mules had to forfeit at 125 pounds, while
Daide Agnew dropped a 9-3 decision at 133 pounds. 141 pounder
Zachary Schridde gave up a tough match in a 17-1 technical fall. UCM then forfeited at 149 pounds and trailed 20-0 in the team score.
Shea Conley battled a full three periods at 157 pounds but dropped a tough 6-1 decision.
Dakota Huss was pinned at 165 pounds in 3:40. The Mules trailed 29-0 with four classes left.
Person never trailed in his 174-pound match. He ended the match at 12-3 and scored the final point with riding time to give the Mules four team points.
Braden Best battled a tough match at 184 pounds but fell short in a 2-0 decision.
Dominique Hampton fell 8-2 at decision, but like his teammates fought hard in all three periods.
Ryan Morris gave up a 18-2 tech fall.
The Mules will have one more dual this week as they host the Fort Hays State Tigers on Friday, Feb. 2. Mat action gets started at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Building.
