• Central Missouri Mules Wrestling ends the nine-dual road trip in St. Louis, as they take on the Maryville Saints on Wednesday, Jan. 17. Mat action gets started at 7 p.m.
• The Mules will look to end a four-dual losing streak against the Saints. This past weekend, the Mules dropped three tough duals at the UNK Duals. They sit 3-9 overall and 1-1 in MIAA dual competition.
• Despite going 0-3 as a team, UCM had six grapplers pick up multiple wins.
Dominique Hampton led the way going 3-0 at 197 pounds. The redshirt freshman is 14-10 on the season.
• Five other wrestlers went 2-1 at UNK in

• Reser continued his strong showing last week going 4-1 for the Mules. Since returning to the lineup he is 7-1. At the UNK Duals he scored a 9-8 decision over Keenan Willits of Colorado School of Mines who was ranked No. 10 nationally at 165 pounds.
• The Mules will return home following their dual with the Saints to host the Roger Denker Open on Sunday, Jan. 21. Their first home dual will be on Wednesday, Jan. 24, against MIAA foe Nebraska-Kearney.
• The Mules have fared well in their four tournaments this season with 22 overall placewinners and two champions.
• Following the dual against Nebraska-Kearney, UCM will have four duals left in the regular season before competing at the MIAA Championships in Wichita, Kan. The tournament will be on Feb. 11, starting at 10 a.m.
Series History
Central Missouri vs. Maryville: Never Met
For the second time this season, the Mules will face a team for the first time ever. Last week, UCM and Colorado Mesa squared off for the first time ever. This time it is against Maryville. Despite being in the same state, the Mules and Saints will finally battle each other on the mats.
Scouting the Competition
#19 Maryville
• Maryville is 1-3 overall in dual competition entering its mid-week match with the Central Missouri Mules. In the latest NWCA top-25 poll, the Saints check in at No. 19 in Division II and in Super Region II they sit fourth.
• The Saints have been ranked No. 19 through the majority of the season. Their highest ranking was 17th. In the GLVC Preseason Coaches' Poll, they were picked to finish second behind McKendree. The Saints garnered five first-place votes.
• Maryville has three wrestlers ranked in the top-12 in the latest NWCA individual rankings. Will Roark checks in at No. 10 in the 141 pound weight class. James Krischke has the highest individual ranking at No. 2 in the 149 pound weight class. The final ranked grappler for the Saints is Ethan Sherertz at 285 pounds. He checks in at No. 12 in the country.
• The Saints have competed in six tournaments so far this season. They have had 31 placewinners overall, with multiple top-five finishers and five champions.
• Maryville's duals all came at the UNK Midwest Duals where they took on four teams, with three being ranked or receiving votes. They fell to No. 12 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 7 CSU-Pueblo, and Fort Hays State who is receiving votes. The Saints lone win came against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks by a slim 23-21 victory.
