ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Sept. 26, 2017) - No. 18 Central Missouri Jennies defeated Lindenwood in a tough four-set battle 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21). The win moves UCM to 12-3 on the season as they remain perfect in the MIAA at 3-0.
How it Happened
• The Jennies took advantage of 29 Lindenwood attack errors as the Lions hit just .136 as a team. The Jennies were also held under .200 at .186.
• Central Missouri scored seven points on service aces and four more on LWU service errors. They also won the blocking battle 8-5.
• There were a number of long rallies as both teams recorded at least 75 digs.Â
• Central Missouri never trailed in the opening set, which turned out to be the largest win for either team. Four straight points brought Lindenwood to within one, 13-12, but the Jens scored eight of the next 10 points to open up a seven-point lead and set them on their way to a 25-17 first set win.

Kasey Hohlen had five kills in set two, but it wasn't enough. The set saw seven ties and two lead changes. The Lions broke a 13-all tie with a kill from Alex Dahlstrom and went on to even the match at one, 25-19.
• The third set was much like the first two, with things tied at 12-all. This time it was the Jennies though who broke the tie and went on to hold the lead for the rest of the set, going on to win 25-21.Â
• It looked like the Jennies were up big, 21-16, but the Lions didn't quit. They scored three straight to pull to within two, 21-19. The Jennies got their final three points on Lion attack errors and took the fourth set and the match.
Jennies Stat Leaders
•
Kasey Hohlen was the team leader with a game-high-tying 14 kills.
Audrey Fisher added 11 more. The duo in the middle combined for 25 kills and six errors.

Ally Offerdahl, the reigning MIAA Specialist of the Week, led the way with 36 assists. She also added eight digs, four kills, three blocks and a service ace.
• Three Jennies recorded double-digit digs with
Kylie Hohlen's 27 leading the team.Â

Carly Offerdahl and
Molly Lawrence each had a 13 digs, a new career-high for Lawrence who's previous best was six.
• Fisher added four more points with a career-high tying four service aces. She also had a team-high four blocks.

Hannah VanBuskirk helped out with eight kills and three blocks.
For the Lions
• Emily Wylie and Sadie Kosciuk each scored 16 points. Wylie led the way with 14 kills while Kosciuk added 12. She also had four blocks and a service ace.
• Libero Megan Hellwege finished with a game-high 28 digs.
• Ivy Reynolds had a double-double with 27 assists and 11 digs.
• Allyson Clancy chipped in with 18 assists, seven digs and three kills.
Noteworthy
• The win is the Jennies sixth in a row, their longest winning streak of the season.
• The Jennies move to a perfect 33-0 on Tuesday matches under Coach Piontek.

Kasey Hohlen's 14 kills give her an ever 600 for her career.Â
