WARRESNBURG, Mo. (April 24, 2017) – Central Missouri and Head Coach Dave Slifer are extremely pleased to announce the signing of Abby Gann of Miller High School in Miller, Mo. to a national letter of intent.
Gann, a 5-9 wing, has spent the last three years at Miller HS where she scored more than 1,200 points. Additionally, Gann is a three-time First Team All-Conference selection, and two-time First Team All-District following her junior and senior seasons. Gann was also a Second Team All-District member following her sophomore season and was named to six different All-Tournament teams.
"Abby Gann is a very competitive player who has a tremendous knack for scoring the basketball," said Coach Slifer. "She's a player who has a great work ethic, outstanding intangibles, and is an amazing student. She should fit it in very nicely with our team."
Gann was coached this past season at Miller HS by Hannah Wilkerson, a former college teammate of current Jennies Basketball Graduate Assistant Kenzie Williams. Wilkerson is the Missouri State high school record holder for most career points scored.
Gann also played her AAU basketball under the direction of Coach Allen Wilson of the Missouri Valley Magic.
In the classroom, Gann carries a weighted grade point average of 4.36. She will be the Valedictorian of her high school this spring and recently served as the Vice President of the National Honor Society. Gann plans on pursuing a degree in the field of Pre-Medicine at Central Missouri.
