Jennies Bowling finishes 19th at Vanderbilt Music City Classic

SMYRNA, Tenn. (March 19, 2017)-- Jennies Bowling went 2-1 on the final day of the Vanderbilt Music City Classic and had a 6-7 overall record to capture a 19th place team finish during the three days of competition.

The final day of the tournament featured a Baker-only format in bracket play with teams competing in a best-of-seven series. Central Missouri faced off against St. Francis College in its first match that went the full seven matches. St. Francis edges the Jennies 4-3 in the series to give them their only loss of the day.

UCM drew Texas Southern in its second match for second time in three days. The two matched up on the first day of the tournament with the Jennies winning 1,1012-855. Things went in favor for Jens again as they won the series 4-2 over the Lady Tigers.

With a 1-1 record on the day, the Jennies carried their momentum into their final match against Youngstown State, a team they fell to on day one of the tournament, 926-834. UCM got the upper hand this time around with a 4-1 series win to end the day 2-1 in bracket play.

The Jennies totaled 3,222 pins in bracket play with 12,211 total pins over the three day period.

UCM will be back in action this Friday-Sunday, March 24-26, at the MIAA Championships in Kansas City, Kan.
