CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. -- Former Jennies Bowler and UCM Athletic Hall of Fame member Bryanna Caldwell placed seventh at the Professional Women's Bowling Association Storm Sacramento Open over the weekend. It was the first PWBA regular season event of the season.

Caldwell totaled 6,114 total pins and went 11-5 during the 16-game match play portion of the tournament, but did not advance to the stepladder finals. Bowlers received 30 bonus pins for a win and 15 bonus pins for a tie with the top four bowlers in the match play portion advancing to the finals. Elysia Current of Ephrata, Pennsylvania won the tournament.

The PWBA Storm Sacramento Open was the first regular season event on the PWBA Tour in more than a dozen years. The tour ceased operations in 2003, but has been rejuvenated this year thanks to the support from the bowling industry.
