Next up for the Jennies The Jennies (15-8, 9-6 MIAA) ride a three-game win streak into the final home stretch of the 2014-15 season, beginning this Saturday, February 14 against Lindenwood at 1:30 p.m.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Play 4Kay Initiative, the Jennies will wear pink jerseys for Saturday's matchup.
The Jennies will try and avenge a 95-82 overtime loss at Lindenwood back on January 24. The Lions defeated Central Missouri, 65-64 last season in Warrensburg.
Last Time Out On Wednesday night in Jefferson City, UCM cruised to a 78-63 win over Lincoln to clinch a spot in the MIAA Tournament. The win also helped UCM keep pace in the race for a first round conference bye. The Jennies currently stand a half game behind Missouri Southern for the fourth spot in the standings.
The Jennies received scoring from nine different players, five of whom reached double-figures, preserving a 78-63 victory at Lincoln on Wednesday and moving closer to securing a first round conference bye. With the victory the Jennies clinched a spot in the 2015 MIAA Tournament.
Senior
Revonnia Howard led UCM (15-8, 9-6 MIAA) with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including her first career three-pointer. Redshirt junior
Danielle Barry scored a career-best 13 points and pulled down four rebounds.
After falling behind, 4-3 in the first 4:16 of the game, the Jennies gained the lead and never looked back. Barry gave the Jennies an offensive boost off the bench in the first 5:45, scoring four points as UCM built a 7-4 lead.
Howard splashed a triple and dropped in a layup on the next possession, increasing the lead to 12-5.
UCM went on an 8-2 run over the next 2 ½ minutes, finished by a three-point play from senior
Brielle Wattley, which opened a 13-point lead.
Lincoln worked to pull back to within four points at 27-23 with 4:02 remaining in the first half, but junior
Tayler Weiks nailed back-to-back three-pointers, making it a 10-point game.
By halftime, the Jennies bench scored 19 of the team's 35 points, eight apiece from Weiks and Barry. UCM shot 44.4% (4-of-9) from three point range in the first half of play.

Jasmine Thompson got the offense going to start the second half, combining for eight points and helping UCM to a 12-point game.
Lincoln closed the gap to five points at 43-38 with just over 15:00 minutes left to go in the game, but a trey by Winkelmann pushed the Jennies' lead to eight.
Up by nine points, Thompson hit a running jump shot, while Howard deposited a layup, giving the Jennies a 51-38 cushion.
Junior
Danielle Randle came through with a three-point play to make it 54-38 at the 11:37 mark, but Lincoln's 5-0 run kept the game to within 11 points with under 10 minutes remaining.
UCM saw its lead slip to seven points at 58-51 following a three-point play from Kelsey Williams with 7:46 left.
Leading 70-59 with 2 ½ minutes to play, senior
Justina Prairie Chief put the game away, scoring underneath the basket and drawing a foul to complete the three-point play and putting the Jennies ahead by 14 points.
The Jennies' advantage never dipped under 10 points for the rest of the game, as UCM won its seventh straight game against Lincoln and 10th in a row in Jefferson City.
Slifer By The Numbers Slifer is 32nd on the all-time wins list for all NCAA coaches with 594.
Slifer is sixth among all Division II coaches with 594 wins and is ninth among all Division II coaches with a .739 winning percentage.
Slifer needs six wins to reach 600 in his 25-year coaching career.
Jennies Basketball In The Multi The Jens are 436-96 all-time in the Multipurpose Building, and 108-33 during the Slifer era ... Central Missouri finished the 2013-14 season with an 11-1 record in the Multi ... UCM has won at least nine home games every year since 2004-05 ... the Jennies have gone undefeated at home four times: 1982-83 (15-0, finished 3rd in the nation), 1985-86 (14-0, regional champions), 1988-89 (15-0, finished 4th in the nation), and 2012-13 ... from 1988 to 1990, the Jennies won a school-record 34 consecutive games at the Multi.
First Meeting At Lindenwood In the Jennies' overtime loss in St. Charles in January, four Jennies, led by senior
Jasmine Thompson (25), scored in double-figures. Senior forward
Revonnia Howard tallied a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. In the second half and overtime, Lindenwood outscored the Jens, 55-45.
Party Of Five In the win at Lincoln, UCM had five players (Howard, Prairie Chief, Thompson, Winkelmann, Barry) score in double-figure points for the second time this season (at Washburn). The Jennies are 2-0 in such situations.

Danielle Barry established a new career-high with 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting at Lincoln on Wednesday. She knocked down 5-of-7 shots from the charity stripe and added four rebounds, a block and a steal.
It was Barry's fourth double-digit game this season.
Double-Digit Boards Streak Ends The Jennies had their six-game streak of one player reaching at least 10 rebounds end at Lincoln on Wednesday. It was the longest streak for the team since Feb. 16-March 15, 2013, which lasted seven games.

Revonnia Howard has been an asset on the boards this season for the Jennies. Her 9.0 rebounds per game is currently third in the MIAA entering this week. Seventy-three of her 207 rebounds have been on the offensive end, both team highs. Her 73 offensive rebounds are currently fourth-best in the MIAA.
She is one of three Jennies (
Justina Prairie Chief,
Jasmine Thompson) to pull down triple-digit rebounds this season. She is the only Jennie to have 100 defensive rebounds this season as well.
Howard pulled down a career-high 21 rebounds in the 73-65 overtime win against Quincy on Nov. 24. Howard's 21 rebounds in a single-game are tied for fourth-most in UCM history.
The Chicago, Illinois native was the first Jennie to record at least 20 rebounds since Jojuana Jones hauled in 21 boards on March 6, 2008 in the first round of the MIAA Tournament against SBU (89-80 loss).
Block Party Howard has blocked 39 shots this season, bumping her career total to 82. The 82 blocks are tied with Dawn Thomas for seventh-place on the Jennies' all-time list.
She is nine blocks shy of tying Kamala Sherman for sixth-place on UCM's all-time list.
Model For Consistency For the seventh consecutive season, the Jennies program has won at least 15 games, dating back to the 2008-09 season.
Should the Jennies win their final three regular home games, it would be the fourth straight year they reached at least 10 wins on their home floor.
Offense Sharing The Ball The Jennies have tallied double-digit assists in three consecutive games, totaling 33 during that span. It's the second time this season the offense has put together three games in a row of 10 assists or more (1/14-1/21).
Off To Fast Starts In the last six games, the Jennies have either had the lead or been tied at halftime. The Jennies are outrebounding their opponents in four of those first halves and are shooting 40.8% (145-of-355) from the floor.
Excelling In The Classroom The Jennies experienced plenty of success both on and off the court last season with eight MIAA Academic Honor Roll selections, for earning at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
UCM in the Polls The Jennies were ranked in the Top 25 for 33 consecutive weeks from January of 2013-December of 2014. This season, the Jennies faced four opponents (Fort Hays State, Emporia State, Pittsburg State and Drury) that currently sit in the Top 25, finishing with a record of 1-3.
