WARRENSBURG, Mo. - No. 13 Central Missouri hit a season-best .462 and held Lindenwood to a negative hitting percentage, as the Jennies won for the fifth straight time. It is also the fifth straight sweep UCM has put together, defeating the Lions by scores of 25-7, 25-10, 25-18. The Jens move to 25-4 this season and 13-3 in the MIAA.

The Jennies connected for 44 kills in the match, led by Carly Sojka with 10. She was the only Jennie in double-figures, but five knocked at least six kills. Kylie Hohlen also placed eight kills and Kasey Hohlen, Maddie Jones and Cheyanne Lyons all landed six. Kourtney Thompson passed out 30 assists and Kylie Hohlen and Annie Reilly each landed two of the Jennies seven service aces.

Defensively, the Jennies held an opponent to a .000 hitting percentage for the first time since Sept. of 2013. The Lions landed 20 kills with 20 errors. Reilly finished with 10 of the Jens 37 digs.

The Jennies raced out to a large lead in all three sets. Central Missouri quickly went up 7-3 in the games first 10 points and never looked back. The Jens built a 10-point lead at 14-4 and held the Lions under 10 points with a 25-7 set win. Lyons had four of her six kills in the set.

UCM wasted no time getting out in front in set No. 2 They led by as many as 15, 18-3 before winning the set 25-10.

The third set got a little dicey towards the end. After the Jens went up 10, 16-6, the Lions mounted their comeback, getting to within seven at 22-15. But a Haley Thompson kill put an end to the set and the match, 25-18.

UCM has two more matches this week, the final week of the MIAA regular season. The Jens will travel to St. Joseph, Mo. Thursday, Nov. 12 for a match against Missouri Western. Saturday, Nov. 14 will be the Jens final home game against Northwest Missouri. The team will honor it's seniors with a post-match ceremony.
