Topeka, Kan. -- No. 16 Jennies (8-6, 5-1 MIAA) were swept by No. 8 Washburn (13-1, 5-1 MIAA), 22-25, 27-25, 22-25, on the road Saturday afternoon. Central Oklahoma is now the only MIAA team without a conference loss this season.

Washburn won the first and third set easily. Central Missouri only led the Ichabod in the second set. There were 13 tie scores and six lead changes in the second, Washburn eventually caught the Jennies at 17-17 and scored an additional point to take an 18-17 lead in the set. Central Missouri tied Washburn several times following, but couldn't string two points together, and Washburn won the set at 27-25.

Carly Sojka led the Jennies in kills, with eight more kills than anyone else on the team. She finished the match with a double-double, 17 kills and 10 digs.
Maddie Jones had the next most kills, at nine, with one block.
Kourtney Thompson and
Haley Thompson each had four kills. H. Thompson had five blocks in the match, while K. Thompson had 31 assists.
Annie Reilly was the only Jennie to serve an ace in the match. She had three aces and 18 digs through three sets.

Central Missouri will have a pair of home matches next Friday and Saturday, against Fort Hays State and Nebraska-Kearney. Both matches will be play in the UCM Multipurpose Building.Â
