BOLIVAR, Mo. --
Jennies junior pitcher Katie Shockley tossed a no-hitter in the second game of a Friday twinbill at Southwest Baptist, the 21st in UCM history, leading Central Missouri to a 9-0 victory in six innings to split with the Bearcats.

The last Jennies' (24-16, 12-8 MIAA) no-hitter came back on April 20, 2011 from the arm of Lacey Dixon against Missouri Western.

In game one, the Jennies lost, 1-0 on a sixth inning RBI double from Dana Graves. Central Missouri was held to just two hits, belonging to Braylyn Bivens and Ali Jo Rogers.

Jakki Prater (14-9) took the loss, yielding five hits and a run, walking two and striking out one.

In game two, the Jennies took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third on an RBI single by Lindsey Dawson.

Four more runs came across for UCM in the top of the fourth to take a commanding 5-0 advantage over the Bearcats. With two outs in the inning and runners on second and third, Rogers doubled home two runs, followed by an RBI single down the left field line by Bivens.

The Jennies picked up a pair of runs in the fifth on an RBI double from Lauren Mabe, while Jessica Neely plated Alex Groeger home on a sacrifice fly, making it a 7-0 game.

In the top of the sixth, Prater connected on her team-leading 18th homerun to clinch the run-rule victory.

Shockley faced 20 batters, walking two, while fanning five hitters. It's the first no-hitter of the right-hander's career.

The Jennies will return home to host Southwest Baptist tomorrow afternoon for a 1 p.m. doubleheader at the South Recreation Complex.
