Women's ResultsBOLIVAR, Mo. - UCM cross country competed at the MIAA Championships Saturday morning at the Bolivar Municipal Golf Course in Bolivar, Mo. The Mules, looking to repeat as champions, fell short coming in fourth place while the Jennies finished seventh overall.
The men were led by senior
Adam Tredway who finished 14th overall. He completed the 8K course in 25:27.76, a season-best. Fellow senior
Austin Gott was the only other Mule to crack the top-20, finishing 20th in 25:50.73, a personal-best. Tyler Hughes (22nd),
Michael Gawlick (27th) and
Ian Frazier (29th) completed the scoring for the Mules. Hughes and Frazier, both freshman, ran personal-bests of 25:56.84 and 26:14.59, respectively.
Missouri Southern took home the team title with 22 points. The Lions' Eric Schott was the individual winner, crossing the line in 24:41.52. The men's field saw nine teams and 78 runners.
For the Jennies, senior
Megan Glamann became a three-time All-MIAA honoree with her third place finish. Glamann ran a season-best 22:01.60 to lead the Jens, 23 seconds behind individual champion Elizabeth Luckel of Southwest Baptist. Senior
Allie Rexroat also cracked the top-15, placing 13th with a personal-best time of 22:41.41 in the 6K race. Freshmen
Yesenia Gomez and
Nicole Svendsen were the third and fourth finshers for the Jennies, placing 51st and 57th, respectively. Junior
Coleen Grone completed the scoring, crossing the line in 59th place. All three ran personal-best times.
In addition to the men's title, Missouri Southern took home the women's team title. Their 44 points bested second-place Southwest Baptist by 26 points. The women's race was comprised of 11 teams and 90 competitors.
The two teams will now turn their attention to the NCAA Regional meet held Nov. 22 in Wayne, Nebraska.
