Women's Team ResultsST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Mules and Jennies cross country teams raced in their final meet before the MIAA Championships. Both teams finished their regular season's on high notes, and can head to the conference meet with some confidence after the Mules placed first and the Jennies third at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Fall Cross Country Classic.
The Mules finished with 34 points as a team, with all five scorers finishing in the top-15 and four in the top-10. Senior
Adam Tredway was the first Mule to cross the line, doing so in 25:59 for second place in the team scoring. Freshman
Ian Frazier and junior
Michael Gawlick followed closely behind in fifth and sixth place, compelting the 8K course in 26:22 and 26:26, respectively. Senior
Austin Gott also finished in the top-10 with a 10th place finish in 26:45 while sophomore
Michael Frazier set a personal-best in 26:48, good for 11th place out of 120 competitors.
For the Jennies senior
Megan Glamann led the way with a second place finish. She completed the 5K in a season-best 18:37. Fellow senior
Allie Rexroat cracked the top-five in the team scoring, placing fifth with a season-best 19:01.
Samantha Merritt was the third Jennies finisher coming in 28th place with a time of 20:35. The top-five for the Jennies was rounded out by a pair of freshmen,
Yesenia Gomez (20:40) and
Nicole Svendsen (20:49) for 31st and 34th place, respectively out of 137 competitors. The Jennies finished with 100 points. Former MIAA foe Truman State won the team title with 41 points.
With the regular season behind them, UCM will turn its attention to the MIAA Championships held Nov. 8 on the campus of Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo. The conference meet kicks off at 10 a.m.
