No. 21 Jennies top Pittsburg State in five

Pittsburg, Kan. -- No. 21 Central Missouri (14-7, 11-2 MIAA) beat Pittsburg State (7-14, 4-9 MIAA) for the second time this season, 25-13, 25-12, 21-25, 23-25, 16-14. The Jennies hit .224 in the five set match, with 67 kills.
 
The Jens took sets one and two with ease, Pittsburg State warmed up for the third and fourth set. In the fifth the teams took turns scoring three points in a row, Central Missouri eventually held the Gorillas at 14 and score the final points of the match.
 
Carly Sojka had a team-high 22 kills, and hit .250. She had her ninth double-double this season, with 10 digs. Haley Thompson had 17 kills, while Maddie Jones had 13, H. Thompson hit .361 and Jones hit .379. Annie Reilly had 22 digs and an ace in the match. Becca Blaise, Kourtney Thompson, and H. Thompson also had serving aces. K. Thompson also tallied 57 assists. Shelby Winkelmann had 11 digs in five sets. 

The Jennies will host Emporia State and Washburn next weekend on Friday and Saturday.
