Scene Setter...
Jennies Softball split an MIAA doubleheader last Tuesday against the Washburn Lady Blues, dropping game one 6-3 before winning game two 13-5 in five innings.

The Jennies were slated to play five games in the Missouri Western Softball Invitational last Friday, Saturday and Sunday but the tournament was canceled due to inclement weather.

UCM was again denied a chance to play Monday because of inclement weather when their games against Augustana (S.D.) and Wayne State (Neb.) in St. Joseph were canceled.

The Jennies will look to get back on the diamond this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Oklahoma for MIAA doubleheader's against Northeastern State and ninth ranked Central Oklahoma. The Jennies will face the RiverHawks Friday in Tahlequah beginning at 1 p.m. and the No. 9 Bronchos at 1 p.m. Saturday in Edmond.

Series History
Northeastern State: This will be the 14th meeting all-time between the Jennies and the RiverHawks and the first meeting as MIAA opponents. The Jennies lead the series 10-3. Last season UCM swept NSU in Warrensburg 4-3 and 4-0.

Central Oklahoma: This will be the 22nd meeting all-time between the Jennies and the Bronchos and the first meeting as MIAA opponents. The Jennies lead the series 14-7. Last season the Bronchos swept the Jens in Warrensburg 5-2 and 10-2.

Non-Conference Games
Central Missouri has been 782-571 in non-conference games since 1972, the beginning of softball at UCM. In the 'NCAA/MIAA Era' the Jennies have compiled a 638-448 non-conference mark. Anderson has a 110-100 record in non-conference contests

Conference Games
Central Missouri has posted a 228-125 MIAA mark since the inception of the conference in 1983. Under Anderson the Jennies are 67-35 in conference action.

Home Field Advantage
Since the 1977 season, Central Missouri is 345-150 at home. Under Anderson, the Jennies are 59-21 at home. UCM has gone undefeated in the 2007 (8-0), 1991 (13-0), 1989 (8-0), and 1979 (6-0). Last season the Jennies were 8-8 at home.

On the Road
Since 1977, UCM has posted a 215-194 mark on the road and a 422-315 record at neutral sites. Under Anderson the Jennies have gone 57-51 on the road and 77-74 at neutral sites.

The Jennies have lost 14 games due to inclement weather this season.

Inside the Numbers
Through 22 games the Jennies are hitting .297 as a team and limiting their opponents to a .248 average. The Jennies are paced offensively by Jakki Prater with 23 RBIs, three home runs, six doubles with 24 hits in 67 at bats. Ashlea Bengtson has driven in 13 runs for UCM with two homers with a .373 average. Medora West and Jill Lucas round of the Jennies who have batted in more than 10 runs as West has 12 RBIs and Lucas has 11.

Braylyn Bivens leads the Jennies in stolen bases through 22 games, going 15-17.

In the circle, Prater leads the Jens, posting an impressive 1.99 ERA with a 7-1 record in 12 apperances and seven starts. She has team-bests for complete games (7), saves (1), innings pitched (70.1), strikeouts (56) and opponent batting average (.225).

As a team the Jennies have an ERA of 3.48 while their opponents ERA is 3.64.

The Jennies are 11th in team batting in the MIAA with an average of .289 (does not include Washburn DH) and ninth in team pitching, posting an ERA of 3.42 (also does not include Washburn DH).
