Scene Setter...
    Jennies Softball went 5-1 last week and 3-1 in the MIAA, sweeping a home doubleheader with Missouri S & T Wednesday, 5-4 and 6-5, before traveling to St. Joseph and sweeping Missouri Western for their MIAA opening doubleheader, 3-1 and 2-0 Friday. The Jennies ended the week Saturday by splitting an MIAA doubleheader against Northwest Missouri State, winning game one 9-6 in 10 innings and dropping game two 13-4. 
     Jakki Prater led the Jens offense, batting .318 on the week with seven RBIs, including two home runs. Medora West and Emily Bybee-King each batted in five while Braylyn Bivens was 4-5 in stolen base attempts. 
     Prater also paced the Jens in the circle. She went 2-0 on the week and pitched two complete games with a total of 20 innings pitched. Prater struck out 17 batters while only walking six in her three appearances last week. The Nixa, Mo. native picked up a save in the Jennies 6-5 win in game two against Missouri S & T. Her overall record is now a team-best 7-1. Katie Shockley pitched a seven inning shutout in the Jens 2-0 win in game two at Missouri Western Saturday. She struck out three and improved her record in the circle to 2-3 overall. 
     The Jennies will face the Washburn Lady Blues in an MIAA doubleheader Tuesday at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg. First pitch for game one is set for 1 p.m. UCM will then travel to St. Joseph, Mo. Friday-Sunday for the Missouri Western Softball Invitational. They will face Augustana and Minnesota State Friday before battling Concordia-St. Paul and Northern State Saturday. The Jennies will close out the tournament Sunday with a doubleheader against Wayne State College (Neb.).

Series History
Washburn: This will be the 81st meeting all-time between the Jennies and the Lady Blues. The Jennies lead the series 44-36. The last time the two teams met was April 26, 2012 in the MIAA Tournament where the Jennies defeated the Lady Blues 5-2. 

Non-Conference Games
Central Missouri has been 782-571 in non-conference games since 1972, the beginning of softball at UCM. In the 'NCAA/MIAA Era' the Jennies have compiled a 638-448 non-conference mark. Anderson has a 110-100 record in non-conference contests

Conference Games
Central Missouri has posted a 227-124 MIAA mark since the inception of the conference in 1983. Under Anderson the Jennies are 66-34 in conference action.

Home Field Advantage
Since the 1977 season, Central Missouri is 344-149 at home. Under Anderson, the Jennies are 58-20 at home. UCM has gone undefeated in the 2007 (8-0), 1991 (13-0), 1989 (8-0), and 1979 (6-0). Last season the Jennies were 8-8 at home. 

On the Road
Since 1977, UCM has posted a 215-194 mark on the road and a 422-315 record at neutral sites. Under Anderson the Jennies have gone 57-51 on the road and 77-74 at neutral sites.

Current Leaders
Through 20 games, Jakki Prater leads the Jennies offense, batting .344 with 19 RBIs, 3 home runs and five doubles. Ashlea Bengtson and Jill Lucas each have 11 RBIs while 
Medora West has batted in 10 runs. Braylyn Bivens leads the Jens in stolen base attempts, going 13-15 in 20 games. 
     
In the Circle
     Jakki Prater is a team-best 7-1 in 10 appearances and seven starts. She leads the Jennies pitching staff in not only overall record but complete games (7), innings pitched (63.1), ERA (2.21) and strikeouts (53). Jessica Wilkes has a 3-1 record in the circle for UCM, pitching 31 innings and retiring 13 batters while Katie Shockley is 2-3 on the season with one shutout and 16 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched.
